The telemedicine network consists of 75 (H323) systems used for many kinds of services such as therapeutic advice, diagnostics, rounds, care planning and education. Compared with the population in the region this is one of the densest networks in Europe. The network provides low cost access and network support, for a range of technologies optimised as a function of the operating environment, including optical fibre, power line and wireless access. The network is a prerequisite for the development according to the aims in eEurope in health care as well in other sectors. There are more applications, entering, or in practice.
